Debates about education and achievement in rural schools being less than equal to those of urban schools have been going on for some time. This debate is a tug-of-war subject. Analysis reveals that rural schools achieve mean annual gains in performance that equal or better their urban counterparts.
Eighty-five percent of schools in South Africa do not have a science laboratory. Our goal is to equip mostly rural schools with laboratories, conventional or mobile units. Access to quality science and math education particularly for the previously disadvantaged communities is a solution to eradication of poverty.
